World Card Making Day

Celebrate World Card Making Day! It's on 06 October 2007 (or the first Saturday in October). Sounds like fun to me. Also, in the spirit of card making goodness, A Muse is selling card kits for 15% off the retail price AND they will be giving a whopping 25% of the proceeds from these kits to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Through Cards for a Cause, A Muse will also be accepting donations of cards for the children at the hospital up until 31 October (and there's a drawing for A Muse money if you send some in).

Here's an example of the card kit that I really want:You can buy it off their blog through PayPal... it's so easy! So, if you need new stamps or want to try it out for the first time, this is one awesome way to go.

The Neatest Tees Ever!

Hey! My friends have been getting these awesome t-shirts and I was getting jealous so they told me about this website called Threadless T-Shirts. If you link thorugh me I get some credit dollars to get even more awesome clothes so if you buy something use me: http://threadless.com/?from=barkquack. Below is an example of one that I'm getting. It's called "we are made of carbon."

I am so conflicted... should I get four? I like them all equally. Oh well... probably just three (I'll minus the one that is totally me--japanese cartoonish bio characters in test tubes). Anyway, check it out! It's rad. Oh! They take entries every week and people score them to see which design will be made into a shirt, so it's not all the same 'ol manufactured stuff... totally unique! Cheers!

My new favorite things

So, although no one reads this, I will still post some things that I am thinking. I am thinking right now that I really like these Prismacolor markers. The colors are so fun and look great when I color in my stamped images. They also are dual-ended, with a broad and a fine tip (pic from prismacolor website).

I am waiting for a big sale so I can buy the sets... but for now I have been getting the individual colors (trying to avoid the ones in the sets). So far I have:
  • Crimson Red
  • Clay Rose
  • Pale Vermillion (orange)
  • Tulip Yellow
  • Green Tea
  • Jade Green
  • Light Cerulean Blue
  • Peacock Blue
  • Grayed Lavender
  • Light Umber (brown)
  • Cocoa Bean
  • Brick Beige (skin tone)
  • Colorless Blender (supposed to soften edges between different colors)
Most are muted or light tones since I rarely like bright, especially since I'm new at crafting. I made my goal, however, of having at least one pen in each major color group!
